Changes to ORDIT now in effect

Frances Sherlock

As of 1 April 2019, DVSA’s changes to the Official Register of Driving Instructor Training (ORDIT) scheme have come into effect.

These changes aim to improve the quality of driver training by ensuring newly qualified driving instructors have been given the right level of tuition and help.

In the latest Despatch blog post, Jacqui Turland explains the changes and how they will help to improve driver training.

The new syllabus and guidance on becoming an ORDIT trainer also explains more about the changes.
